AbelsonTaylor Wins Top Philanthropic Award

Something amazing usually happens when healthcare agencies collaborate to help patients. Last night AbelsonTaylor and its co-collaborators, HCB Health and JUICE Pharma, won the Heart Award at the 27th annual Manny Awards. The gala was held in New York City and hosted by Med Ad News

“Two great things happened when we partnered with both HCB Health and JUICE Pharma,” said Dale Taylor, president and CEO of AbelsonTaylor. “First, we demonstrated that agencies can collaborate well despite the myths that we don’t know how. Second, patients benefit when we put our minds together to create innovative approaches to disease management.”

The Manny Awards celebrates excellence in pharmaceutical and medical device advertising. The Heart Award category recognizes agencies that are committed to philanthropic and social causes. Last night, more than 600 marketers joined Med Ad News in recognizing this year’s winners, which were determined by industry peers and the editors of the publication.

The three independent agencies partnered with MIT Hacking Medicine to host a three-day HackMed Health House workshop during the 23rd annual SxSW interactive festival. Their collaboration led to the development of some innovative approaches to manage chronic health conditions.

“The event at SxSW allowed us to rethink healthcare with other like-minded independent agencies,” noted Kerry Hilton, partner and CEO at HCB Health. “From solving big pharma issues to improving the lives of patients, together we were able to see into the future of healthcare innovation.”

“This valuable collaboration provided real-world experience with identifying patient health issues and coming up with a best-practice process for finding technology-based solutions,” added Robert Palmer, EVP and managing director for JUICE Pharma Worldwide.

AbelsonTaylor has a long history of award wins with the Manny’s, having been recognized by its peers as the industry’s Most Admired Agency five times. AbelsonTaylor has also captured the Most Creative Agency recognition a record 11 times.
