Chicago Ad Agency Executive Recognized as an Industry ELITE
CHICAGO, May 21, 2015 – Chicago ad agency executive Jay Carter has been recognized as an ELITE by a leading health-marketing industry magazine, PM360. The ELITE (Exceptional • Leaders • Innovators • Transformers • Entrepreneurs) recognition honors individuals who have made a significant impact to the healthcare industry throughout their careers.
An AbelsonTaylor team member for nearly 27 years, Carter helped grow the agency through his relentless focus on brands. Many of the products physicians prescribe today and have used to improve patient lives were brands AbelsonTaylor has introduced to the market. Carter has been directly involved in the launch of several blockbuster brands like Actos and Byetta for diabetes; Prevacid for gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD); and cancer therapies Neulasta, Herceptin and Rituxan.
ELITE nominees were evaluated based on their accomplishments, testimonials from clients, colleagues and supporting evidence that reflects the impact of their efforts (i.e., company growth, campaign success, etc.). “The pharmaceutical industry is blessed with gifted and passionate individuals who continue to find new ways to revolutionize business models, disrupt the market and improve patients’ lives,” says Anna Stashower, CEO and Publisher of PM360.
A Michigan native, Carter earned his Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy from the University of Michigan then worked to achieve his Master’s in Business Administration at the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business. Carter has served as a member of the executive committee and chair of the Medical Advertising Hall of Fame, and an executive committee member for the Coalition for Healthcare Communications.
