Rob Chartier Joins AbelsonTaylor Group as Director of Engagement Strategy
AbelsonTaylor Group today announced that Rob Chartier has joined the agency as Director of Engagement Strategy. Chartier brings more than 15 years of experience leading customer engagement, omnichannel strategy, and personalization initiatives that connect audience insights with measurable business outcomes across healthcare and other highly regulated industries.
Chartier joins AbelsonTaylor Group from RAPP, where he served as Director of CX Strategy & Personalization. In that role, he led cross-functional teams spanning strategy, analytics, media, and creative to develop customer journey frameworks and personalized engagement strategies for patient, caregiver, and healthcare professional (HCP) audiences. His work translated behavioral insights into connected customer experiences, driving significant gains in patient acquisition, engagement, and conversion performance.
Prior to RAPP, Chartier held leadership roles at Merkle and co-founded the health technology startup Research & Me, where he built the company’s marketing and go-to-market strategy to support patient recruitment for clinical trials. Throughout his career, he has helped organizations transform customer data into actionable engagement strategies through audience segmentation, journey mapping, AI-enabled personalization, and measurement frameworks designed to optimize performance.
“Rob has a great mix of strategic thinking, curiosity, and analytical rigor that makes him a natural fit for our team,” said Amy Restko, VP, Director of Engagement Strategy, AbelsonTaylor Group. “He understands that great engagement strategy starts with understanding people, then using data and technology thoughtfully to create experiences that are genuinely helpful and relevant. Just as importantly, he’s excited to keep growing as a strategist, and that’s exactly the kind of mindset we value. I can’t wait to see the impact he’ll have for our clients and our teams.”
In his new role, Chartier will lead the development of omnichannel engagement strategies that guide healthcare professionals and patients through personalized customer journeys. He will partner across strategy, creative, analytics, media, and account teams to translate customer insights into connected engagement ecosystems, while mentoring team members and serving as a strategic advisor to clients. His responsibilities will include customer journey planning, channel strategy, measurement recommendations, and identifying new opportunities to enhance customer experiences through data-driven personalization and emerging technologies. This aligns closely with AbelsonTaylor Group’s continued investment in engagement strategy and its mission to help the world choose better health.
Chartier holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Iowa.
